Karen graduated from the Doctor of Physiotherapy program at the University of Melbourne. Prior to that, she completed her Honours Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto in Canada. Karen has worked as a sports trainer in sporting teams both locally and internationally. She also had the opportunity to work alongside the Stanford University Sports Medicine team in USA during her physiotherapy degree.
In addition to her interest in sporting injuries, Karen enjoys treating a wide variety of conditions and assisting clients to achieve their goals through manual therapy, exercises and rehabilitation. She is passionate about educating clients on injury prevention and management, as well as facilitating them to live an active lifestyle.
Karen enjoys running, climbing, travelling, hiking and anything outdoorsy – she recently completed the Camino from Portugal to Spain! Outside of clinic, you will also find Karen exploring Melbourne.

Andrew Kantor

Andrew completed his Physiotherapy degree in 1999 at LaTrobe Uni. In his early career he held positions at Royal Melbourne, Royal Darwin and Royal London Hospitals developing a broad knowledge base and appreciation of collaborative teamwork. Outside the hospital setting Andrew maintained a passion for musculo-skeletal physiotherapy and sports medicine which lead him to South Melbourne Physio.

Lionel enjoys working with a diverse caseload of athletes of all levels, adolescents, and various neurological presentations. His experience and passion for cycling allows him to provide great bike fits and advice on improving performance.

Emma’s special interests lie in the prevention and treatment of sporting injuries and is a nationally endorsed provider of the Netball Australia’s knee program. She also enjoys treating the wide variety of conditions that ‘walk through the door’.
