Harriette Slater

Harriette graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Physiotherapy following a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Deakin University.

She enjoys building strong relationships with clients and working with them to achieve their goals and lead a happy, healthy and pain-free life through exercise rehabilitation, education, and manual therapy.

With a background in long-distance running, Harriette has a special interest in treating running-related injuries. Her sporting background, as well as her experience working with amateur footballers, has given her an insight into the importance of having a holistic approach to fitness, performance and well-being, including mobility, strength and stability.

Outside of SMPC, Harriette is also a research officer at La Trobe University, working on research projects focused on the prevention and management of knee injuries and osteoarthritis across the lifespan.

Andrew Kantor

Andrew completed his Physiotherapy degree in 1999 at LaTrobe Uni. In his early career he held positions at Royal Melbourne, Royal Darwin and Royal London Hospitals developing a broad knowledge base and appreciation of collaborative teamwork. Outside the hospital setting Andrew maintained a passion for musculo-skeletal physiotherapy and sports medicine which lead him to South Melbourne Physio.

Rakesh Parsotam

Rakesh has over 19 years of Physiotherapy experience after University of Otago in 2001.
Rakesh has furthered his studies in Australia and China, takes a holistic approach in the treatment and management of his clients.

Emma Morrison

Emma’s special interests lie in the prevention and treatment of sporting injuries and is a nationally endorsed provider of the Netball Australia’s knee program. She also enjoys treating the wide variety of conditions that ‘walk through the door’.

Yomitha Navaratne

Yomi has a keen interest in sports and has developed his physiotherapy skills through his work with local Australian football clubs, soccer teams,
