Sophia is a friendly and empathetic person who loves to work closely with individuals to help them become their happiest and healthiest selves. She values a holistic treatment approach, always ensuring that all aspects of a person’s life are considered to deliver the best possible care. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Melbourne before completing her Master of Physiotherapy Practice at La Trobe University. She has worked in a range of settings including private practice, acute hospital and inpatient rehabilitation, paediatrics and with sports teams – specifically AFL and Netball. 

Sophia is passionate about helping people return to their chosen sport after illness or injury and strives to work collaboratively with the individual to ensure they return as a stronger, and higher performing athlete. She values an active approach to rehabilitation to complement her manual therapy techniques, with a keen interest in pilates based movement. She strives to develop creative and highly specialised programs for all her patients that facilitate each individual to achieve their goals. 

Having been a high-level swimmer throughout her young life and then working with kids and adolescents throughout her university studies as a tutor, swimming coach, and sports trainer.

Outside of work, Sophia enjoys staying active and particularly loves getting in the pool on a paddle board or on the bike. She also loves spending time in the kitchen getting creative trying new recipes!

Andrew Kantor

Andrew completed his Physiotherapy degree in 1999 at LaTrobe Uni. In his early career he held positions at Royal Melbourne, Royal Darwin and Royal London Hospitals developing a broad knowledge base and appreciation of collaborative teamwork. Outside the hospital setting Andrew maintained a passion for musculo-skeletal physiotherapy and sports medicine which lead him to South Melbourne Physio.


Lionel Mawditt

Lionel enjoys working with a diverse caseload of athletes of all levels, adolescents, and various neurological presentations. His experience and passion for cycling allows him to provide great bike fits and advice on improving performance.


Rakesh Parsotam

Rakesh has over 19 years of Physiotherapy experience after University of Otago in 2001.
Rakesh has furthered his studies in Australia and China, takes a holistic approach in the treatment and management of his clients.


Emma Tebbutt

Senior physio / Pilates manager

Active . Motivator . Dog-lover . Happy

Emma’s special interests lie in the prevention and treatment of sporting injuries and is a nationally endorsed provider of the Netball Australia’s knee program. She also enjoys treating the wide variety of conditions that ‘walk through the door’.
