Adele graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctorate of Physiotherapy. Prior to this, she completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science at Deakin University. Since graduating, Adele has been working in private practice, but also has experience in the acute hospital setting, rehabilitation centres, and working with local sporting clubs.
Her passion for physiotherapy all began after suffering a few injuries herself playing competitive netball. She understands the highs and lows of recovering from an injury and empathises with her patients. Adele is goal-driven – focusing on the little wins along the way to help her patients achieve their overall goals.
She has developed an interest in exercise rehabilitation to manage a variety of conditions. In combination with manual therapy, dry needling and patient education, Adele believes exercise is an effective tool to empower patients to self-manage their condition in the long-term and prevent subsequent injuries. She is also a Netball Australia endorsed provider of the KNEE program which aims to prevent lower limb injuries. Adele enjoys analysing how biomechanics of the lower limb can impact daily function and athletic performance. In addition, she has an interest in treating neck pain, cervicogenic headache, assisting with pre- and post-operative rehabilitation and various other conditions that present to the clinic.
Outside of work, Adele enjoys staying active by going to the gym and playing netball, following sports such as netball and tennis, trying new restaurants around Melbourne and travelling the world.
